The Wilcox family has lived at 6 Winifred Street continually since the house was built in 1926. The first occupant, Frederick William Wilcox, was born October 19 1898, and married Rose Gladys Church (born June 6 1893) on June 19, 1920 in St Lukes Church, North Fitzroy. William was a labourer and Rose was a boot machinist. Rose died in April 1981 after spendingr her whole married life at 6 Winifred Street.
